Elzbieta and Artur her husband were extremely welcoming. In particular, Artur came to fetch us from the Vaporetto stop, which took the anxiety out of getting to the apartment and was thus very welcome. The apartment is beautiful, as well as clean and well appointed. It was very nice that there was coffee, salt, olive oil and other essentials for self catering when we got there. The kitchen was sufficiently well-stocked to make self-catering a realistic possibility and therefore to keep down the costs of staying in Venice, which are otherwise, very high. The crockery and cutlery are attractive, which again helps. The flat was beautifully warm which again helped in the January weather.
