3 May 2015 No Comments on ElizabethI stayed in this apartment with my husband and two children for two nights. This is a beautiful apartment in Venice, and Elzbieta is a great host! She met us at the apartment just when we asked, when our train got in. Everything was ready — the apartment was clean, bright, and airy. Elzbieta was available by phone and text throughout our stay, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The apartment is located off the Campo San Polo, which is centrally located close to the Rialto bridge, but also has a quiet, non-touristy vibe, with kids chasing soccer balls in the evening and families hanging out. The apartment itself is a clever adaptation of a large, first-floor room in an old palazzo. The ceiling is high enough to permit a sleeping loft over the kitchen and bathroom in which you can stand with no problems. The bathroom is spacious, with a large tub and a hand-held nozzle, and the kitchen is well-equipped, and includes a washing machine. Elzbieta left us containers of breakfast cereal, which our kids really appreciated, and which made our mornings much simpler. The decor is a tasteful mix of classic, Venetian touches, like gilded mirrors, and modern furniture, like glass tables. The only noise we heard was an overnight thunderstorm. We were there in April and the temperature in the apartment was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and would recommend it to anyone seeking a place to rest and escape the tumult of Venice and all its splendors.
