Contact pre trip with the host Ela was superb with recommendations on nearby restaurants and a detailed explanation of the alternative ways in which to travel to/from the airport. After taking Bus 1 (€6 each) from the airport we were met at Pizzale Roma by Artur and he walked us to the apartment along the many alleyways to San Polo square. He was thorough in his explanations of the apartment. We agreed a time to leave the apartment on our last day and once again Artur was punctual in collecting the keys from us so we could be on our way. The apartment itself was well located in a quieter area of Venice but only a short walk to Rialto bridge and the many shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The apartment was clean and well maintained and offered plenty of amenities including tea, coffee and milk plus a good wifi speed. The bathroom would benefit from a wall mounted shower head and curtain/screen rather than hand held. However this did not affect our short stay – soaking in a hot bath after a long days sightseeing was a welcome relief. We would highly recommend this authentic Venetian apartment to couples or families who prefer not to stay in a hotel. Thank you to our hosts Ela & Artur.
